The Inn: The Glenora Inn and Distillery complex is situated on a 200 acre site in the Highlands of Cape Breton. Constructed in traditional style with stone walls and post and beam framing the Glenora Inn is unique and attractive with nine rooms of high standing.
The picture window view from each room brings the quiet beauty of the Highlands into high focus, emphasising the Glenora Inn's charm and peaceful setting along MacLellan's Brook. This quiet corner of Nova Scotia is home to birds, wildlife, fish and all the beauty that nature provides. Glenora, set in a highland area only a few miles from the ocean, is rich in the heritage of its Scottish culture.
Specialty and Gift Shop: Among the unusual and unique features of this Country Inn, is the specialty shop, where you will be able to procure a sampling of the Glenora Distillery product to take home as a distinctive souvenir of Nova Scotia. This retail store for the bottled products of Glenora also carries souvenirs and articles of clothing bearing the Glenora logo. The Gift Shop features selected items of high quality, produced by local craft specialists and a selection of imported Scottish treasures.
The Distillery: The Glenora Distillery is maintaining the highlands Scot's tradition of distilling the heartwarming drink "Uisage Beatha - The Water of Life", in North America's only single malt whiskey distillery. Conducted tours of the distillery are available to visitors to Cape Breton, who are invited to enjoy the ample free parking facilities and to visit the picnic area and scenic grounds.
Tours: Everyday - 11:00am - 4:00pm - tours start every hour on the hour. Admission: $5/adults
Meeting Facilities: Glenora Inn provides facilities for business meetings, receptions, company functions or private parties. Glenora will be pleased to accommodate sporting parties for outdoor recreational activities. For the bird watcher, the cross country skier and the honeymooner, Glenora is an ideal place to visit. Special arrangements can be made for winter activities.
