Serenity Cottage ( Spry Harbour )

Located on scenic Marine Drive in Spry Harbour, this 50 year old home has been tastefully and lovingly converted from a family-owned country store into a cozy and peaceful retreat. Situated on a hill overlooking the harbour, it has a balcony and large deck open to an expansive ocean view. The sunsets and moonrises are some of the most majestic on the East Coast. The house sits on approximately one acre which abounds with nature and wildlife. Follow the path down to the shore and you can enjoy a walk along the rocks, sit and relax on one of the granite boulders or search for sea glass, star fish and shells.

The downstairs of the house includes a family room with sliding door leading to a deck which overlooks the harbour. A cozy woodstove can be used on the rare occasions that heat is needed during the summer rental months. An HDTV with satellite, DVD player and old-fashioned record player are hidden away in the large wardrobe. There is also a computer with Internet access. A bathroom with washer and dryer is convenient to the downstairs bedroom which still boasts the store’s original pine floors.

The upper floor includes a kitchen adjacent a sun room/dining room. Enjoy the view while cooking on the BBQ grill located on the upper balcony off the dining room. The master bedroom has a queen bed. There is a second bedroom containing two single beds. In the upstairs bathroom, light candles, add bath oils and relax in the luxurious claw foot tub with its own beautiful view of the harbour.
